History: The Lady Dorma was a member of the aristocracy of undersea Atlanteans, and was born in the Atlantean settlement of Tha-Korr, established off the coast of Antarctica and ruled by her relative, Emperor Thakorr. She was the distant cousin of Namor, the Sub-Mariner, son of Princess Fen and Thakorr's grandson and future heir to the Atlantean throne.
When Namor became Prince of Atlantis, he decided to strengthen his alliance with Pacifica, so he sent Dorma there as an ambassador. Dorma eventually met Poseidon, ruler of Pacifica, and she immediately fell in love with him, but Poseidon always rejected her advances and treated her harshly.
Then came the day when the barbarian known as Attuma attacked Pacifica with his horde of soldiers. Angry at Poseidon's constant rejection of her romantic advances, Dorma helped Attuma overcome Poseidon's defenses - only to be immediately spurned by Attuma. With the battle looking grim, Lady Dorma managed to flee to the surface and enlist the aid of the Fantastic Four, who secretly assisted in repelling the invaders. Although Poseidon knew that Dorma had betrayed him, he forgave her, understanding like few people how can one make mistakes out of love. He also vowed that he would try to never treat her harshly again. They both are now happily together, guarding Pacifica from any other menace from the seas.

Powers: Dorma possessed the conventional attributes of the Homo Mermanus species: gills to enable her to extract oxygen from water; a superhuman strong physique to enable her to withstand the extreme water pressure changes that occur beneath the sea, blood circulation enabling her to withstand freezing temperatures, and specially developed vision which was more sensitive to the green portion of the spectrum enabling her to see in the murky depths. She could swim at a speed of approximately thirty miles per hour. Dorma could not breathe air out of water. She was capable of lasting approximately nine minutes out of water before suffocating. However, she could operate out of water by wearing a special breathing helmet or by periodically ingesting a chemical that enabled her to draw oxygen from the air. Dorma possessed the normal strength of an Atlantean woman, and could lift approximately two tons in air under optimal conditions.
