CAROL
CAROL (FULL BODY)
History: Carol Webster is the daughter of the ruler of Planet Arachnos. She was travelling with her father and other Arachnians when their ship crashlanded on Earth when Carol was a young girl. The Arachnians sent an SOS to their planet in order to be rescued. While they waited for the beam that would rescue them, they built underground caverns and lived in secrecy, since the Arachnian rules forbade them to influence the cultures of other planets. When Carol became the equivalent of a twenty-year old girl, the people of Planet Arachnos were ready to fire the beam. However, Earth scientists were preparing to test a proton excavation device right at the spot where the beam would set in order to rescue the Arachnian civilization.
Having no choice, the Arachnian ruler sent Carol to the outside world in order to steal devices to make a proton nullifier. While she was on the job, she met Peter Parker in a cafeteria. When they met, both their spider-senses started tingling. Peter didn't know why, but Carol knew that he had the same powers she had. They had a nice evening, but after that, Spider-Man found Carol stealing these devices. Despite the disguise, Carol knew who he was. While she was being chased, Carol accidentally dropped the devices, causing them to shatter on the ground.
She led Spidey back to her civilization, and after she and her father explained the situation, Spidey decided to help disconnect the excavation device, since the Arachnians were susceptible to proton rays of any kind. Spidey succeeded and the Arachnian civilization went back to their home planet. However, Carol missed Peter and decided to come back and be with him. Now, she aids him in his fight against crime.
Equipment: Web-Shooters
Powers:
Spider Physiology - Carol possesses the proportionate powers of a spider. It grants her superhuman strength, speed, toughened flesh, and numerous arachnid-like abilities. That mutation granted her an "enhanced chromosome pattern".
Wall-Crawling - Carol also has the ability to mentally control the flux of inter-atomic attraction (electrostatic force) between molecular boundary layers. This overcomes the outer electron shell's normal behavior of mutual repulsion with other outer electron shells and permits the tremendous potential for electron attraction to prevail. The mentally controlled sub-atomic particle responsible for this has yet to be identified. This ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is so far limited to Carol's body (especially concentrated in her hands and feet) and another object, with an upper limit of several tons per finger.
Superhuman Strength - Carol possesses superhuman strength enabling her to press lift many tons. Carol's physical strength is sufficient enough to enable her to lift and throw objects as heavy as a big rig semi truck with ease. She must also pull her punches and kicks unless fighting someone of similar or greater physical durability. Otherwise, her blows would prove fatal to a normal human being. She has demonstrated that she is strong enough to knock out people with normal durability with as little as a tap to the head.
Superhuman Speed - Carol is capable of running and moving at speeds that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Carol has shown to be fast enough to catch up to an accelerating car while on foot, but prefers to travel by webs. Carol moves faster than the eye can follow, she has even moved so fast she appears as a blur.
Superhuman Stamina - Carol's advanced musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows her to exert himself physically for much longer periods of time before fatigue begins to impair her. At her peak, Carol can physically exert herself at her peak capacity for several hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in her blood begins to impair her.
Regenerative Healing Factor - Carol has a low-level rapid healing factor. While not on Wolverine's level, it is sufficiently powerful enough to recover from severe injuries from broken bones and large amounts of tissue damage in a matter of hours.
Extended Lifespan - Although she looks like a twenty-year old, Carol is in reality twenty million years old. To an Arachnian, a million years is the equivalent of a human year.
Superhuman Equilibrium - Carol possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. She seems able to adjust her position by instinct, which enables her to balance herself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow.
Superhuman Reflexes - Carol's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are currently about forty times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with her spider-sense, the speed of her reflexes allows her to dodge almost any attack, or even gunfire, given sufficient distance. Carol has even been shown in some cases, to be able to dodge gunfire using just her reflexes without her Spider-Sense.
Spider-Sense - Carol possesses an extrasensory "danger" or "spider" sense which warns her of potential immediate danger by the manifestation of a tingling sensation in the back of her skull, and links with her superhuman kinesthetics, enabling her to evade most any injuries, unless she cognitively overrides his automatic reflexes.
Abilities: Carol has genius-level intellect and is a very capable scientist, hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist.
Weaknesses: Mortal. Like all Arachnians, Carol is susceptible to proton rays of any kind.
Trivia:
-I admit, this is one of the many cartoon chicks I had a crush on when I was a kid.
-She's 5'7" tall.
