History: Dr. Proto was a scientist and botanist that worked on the New Mexico Military Base.
He was one of two scientists (the other being Dr. Curt Donovan) that didn't get along well with scientist David Bartell (in reality, Dr. David Banner).
Dr. Proto also invented a new lifeform that could eat anything in its path. Its only weakness was gamma radiation. Eventually, the lifeform started eating everything around the base. Bartell had to use a special Gamma Cannon to destroy the lifeform.
Proto was fired from the Base and he swore that he would take revenge against General Ross and the military. He plans to create another lifeform, but this time, he will be able to control it.
Equipment: His lifeform.
Powers: Proto's lifeform is an organism with incredible power. The lifeform is part truffle, part protoplasm. It can sense metals and other materials and it can eat anything and everything on Earth, however, with Proto's new control device, the lifeform can eat only what Proto tells it to eat. It can grow in size and strength as it starts eating more and more things. It's only weakness is Gamma Radiation.
Abilities: Proto is a skilled botanist and scientist.
Weaknesses: Mortal.

-Because of his hatred for Bartell, Proto always got into arguments with Betty Ross.
