History: Misty Beck was the daughter of Mysterio. Much to her father's chagrin, she studied magic since she was a child and became a magician, taking the stage name of Mysteria. Using the anniversary of David Copperfield vanishing the Statue of Liberty as an excuse, she approached Las Vegas casino owner Cassandra Mercury with the proposal to disappear her casino, Mercury Rising. In reality, Misty wanted to gain access to an abandoned catacomb that lied beneath the casino which had been used as a site of worship of Cyttorak. Misty intended to perform a ritual to directly tap into Cyttorak's powers using the Crimson Brand of Cyttorak. She convinced her father to watch the spectacle, since she needed to sacrifice the person she loved the most for the ritual to succeed.
After teleporting Mercury Rising to another dimension during the public performance, Misty put its audience to sleep and ventured into the underground temple with her father. She eventually told him the requirements of the ritual and prepared to murder him with a dagger. Misty became distracted by the arrival of the Dark Spider and Mattie Franklin, giving Quentin the chance to grab the dagger and stab Misty instead. This accidentally triggered the ritual, giving Quentin the powers Misty sought. He went on a rampage and tried to kill the Dark Spider, but he was defeated, the powers leaving his body due to the accidental nature of their accquisition. Misty was left for dead, but she awakened shorty after the casino was returned to its location, with her eyes glowing red.
She was found by Lazlo Octavius and hired into his Insidious Six, with the promise of giving her all the attention her power deserves, as she would be the sole magic user in the team. She has become something of a big sister to Kemmia Alvardo, the daughter of Sand Girl. She has tried to mend fences with her Father but...it is uncertain how that is going.
Equipment: Her ceremonial Dagger, it has no real properties, she just like having a back up piece.
Powers: Magic: Mysteria is a powerful sorceress capable of teleporting massive structures to another dimensions with ease, casting illusions, and teleporting herself with other people. Her new powers upon her revival include a mystical healing factor, able to heal minor injuries like bullet wounds and stab wounds easily, the ability to fire bolts of concussive force from her eyes with enough force to stun Kaine Parker, and the ability to shroud herself or others in purple smoke, rendering then invisible to electronic detection.
Skill: She is familiar with her father's tricks and technology, she just prefers to defer to her vast knowledge of magics and rituals.
