History: After Harry Osborn was taken to a psychiatrist in the hopes of curing his insanity, Doctor Bart Hamilton hypnotised Harry to cure him. However, whilst hypnotised, he told Bart Hamilton all about the history of the Green Goblin, Peter Parker's identity, and a warehouse where the Goblin's gear was located. Checking to see if this was true, Bart found himself overwhelmed by the sense of power. He then hypnotised Harry into taking pictures of Spider-Man disposing of his clone then mailing them to J. Jonah Jameson, in the hope that this would expose his identity. The plan backfired, and after a psychiatric session which ended with Harry attacking him, Bart decided he would take up the mantle of the Green Goblin. He tried to take over the mobs so that he would be king of the underworld, but they only agreed to give him leadership if he captured Spider-Man. Bart fought with Peter many times in one night, but after Peter finally unmasked him, Harry arrived, also with the Goblin gear, ready to stop Bart. The two foes fought, and in the end Bart got out his ace-in-the-hole: a miniturised bomb. However, just before he detonated it, a conveyer belt he was on knocked him back, so Peter and Harry were alright. Bart then seemingly died in the explosion.
But the healing factor of the Goblin Serum, which Bart found out about and got his hands on, was at the time unknown to many. Bart was well enough to slowly began to heal and escaped before the police could find him. He hid out and began to work on a new suit to give him an edge, however he found something better when he was discovered by the Insidious Six. It was revealed that the Kingsley's knew he survived and kept tabs on him. Lazlo felt having allies would be useful and set him up not with a suit, but a modification to his Serum based on the fact that Bart got a prototype of the transformative serum (One more closer to a 616 style Goblin) to make him stable and in control.
Bart was then introduced to the Goblin and a Spider-Man clone Lazlo hired Mr. Sinister to create. The two were gifts in an alliance between the Insidious Six and Rose's Gang and serve as enforcers.
Equipment: He wields the same weapons afforded to the Hobgoblins, as well as his own Goblin glider, with the same specs.
Powers: Thanks to the chemical composition of the Goblin Formula, Hamilton gained the following abilities:
Superhuman Strength - In his base form Barton can lift up to 2 tons, transformed he is class 20.
Superhuman Speed - Hamilton can run and operate at speed of 50 mph.
Superhuman Stamina - Barton can operate or maintain his movements for up to a day without exhausting himself.
Superhuman Durability - In his base form, Hamilton is resistant to gunfire. A point blank shot from a 45 will barley pierce into his muscle. In his transformed state Hamilton is impervious to small arms fire and is heat resistant. He can have an extended fist fight with Spider-Man and come out with minor injuries.
Regenerative Healing Factor - If Barton does sustain injury, his body's increased metabolism allows him to heal damaged tissue much faster and more extensively than a normal human is capable of. Before, it barely allowed him to walk away from a bomb explosion and kept him alive long enough to remove the shrapnel from his body. Now he is comparable to Wolverine and is able to get up from wounds that would cripple an man. He is also immune to disease.
Superhuman Agility - Hamilton's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.
Superhuman Reflexes - His reflexes are similarly enhanced and are superior to those of the finest human athlete.
Abilities: Psychiatrist: Dr. Barton Hamilton is one of New York's leading psychotherapists. He was hired by the richest, most powerful people in New York. He used his skills in hypnosis and manipulation to get his patients to do his bidding.
Barton has been trained by Hobgoblin II to fight more closely to the other goblins, and has gained a fair amount of combat prowess and good aim with his throws.
Weaknesses: Serious injuries can slow down Barton. He is not as strong is his transformed state.
Trivia:
- Bart is beholden to Lazlo, and doesn't realize that was intended...in case Rose becomes a problem.
- He likes this Sinister Spider-Man. He is everything he hoped Harry could become.
- Bart wants Harry broken before Death.
