Name: Marsha Rosenberg
Alias: Volcana
Race: Human
Team: Solo
Voice Actress: Kitty Moffat (Marsha/Volcana)
Theme Song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mM9QRnoekC0
Image/Appearance:
MARSHA (SUIT AND CIVILIAN) AND VOLCANA (PLASMA)
VOLCANA (STONE)
VOLCANA (ASH)
Marsha Rosenberg was born and raised in a suburb of Denver, Colorado, growing up as someone looked down upon by most of her peers as she was overgrown (heighting 6'5" as a young adult), bulky (she used to be overweight in her childhood) and socially awkward. Her only real friend was the similarly outcast Mary "Skeeter" MacPherran, who was similarly unpopular, in her case for being scrawny and from a poor background. The two girls were consistently mocked and humiliated since childhood by the wealthy and popular Vanessa Ashwood and her social clique, and both worked as lowly salesgirls to make ends meet.
When Marsha was 20, she met Kristoff Vernard, a young "exchange student" who went to the same university as her. In reality, Kristoff was looking for a test subject for his new experiment, but when he saw the imposing Marsha, he fell in love with her. He wanted her to return with him to Latveria. Marsha returned his affections and accepted. However, when Marsha saw Kristoff doing his experiment to one of her classmates, she desperately jumped in front of the ray which would have blasted the student with beams. Kristoff watched with horror as Marsha had suddenly gained new powers.
After this, Marsha felt betrayed by Kristoff and left him. Even now, Kristoff lives with the pain of losing the first woman he ever loved. Likewise, Marsha also has to deal not only with the pain that her own lover made her what she is now, but also with the fact that even now, she still loves him. She decided to use her powers for good and named herself Volcana.
In her regular life, Marsha is a struggling writer.
Equipment: As Volcana, Marsha wears a special suit that can automatically change form whenever she does.
Powers: Volcana has the ability to transform her body into three separate volcanic forms (Plasma, Stone and Ash).
Plasma - In this form Volcana can project bursts of 5,000 Fahrenheit heat, up to a 40 feet range. Her body in this form is surrounded by a corona of superheated plasma, which melts or combusts most projectiles that touch it.
Stone - This form grants Volcana superhuman Class 50 strength, and a high resistance to injury.
Ash - Volcana can control her shape at will when in this form.
Abilities: Marsha has some mathematical skills and she's a very good writer, but she's also quite self-conscious about her height. Marsha is also incredibly strong, she used to be picked on back in her school days due to her size and the fact that she was overweight back then, that she decided to go to the gym. Thanks to that and to her size, her strength equals that of a wrestler.
Weaknesses: She still tends to get depressed when people note her height and now voluptous figure.
Trivia:
-She hopes to reunite with her best friend Mary someday.
-She's 6'2" tall.
