History: Rob Hammond is a reporter and comic-caption writer for the Daily Bugle.
When a city bank mysteriously vanished into the street, J. Jonah Jameson sent Hammond to investigate, while sending Peter Parker to visit a scientist who has recorded voices supposedly from the center of the Earth. Peter visits the scientist, and when a recording is played for him, he discovers it is the men - or beasts - who made the bank disappear, and they are plotting to take another one. Realizing it is only a few minutes until the plot is carried out, Peter becomes Spidey and heads for the bank. Sure enough, the bank disappears into the Earth! Civilians inside the bank were taken hostage, including Hammond. However, Spider-Man battled the creatures and unmasked the one in charge, who was in reality a petty crook called Mugs Riley. Angered at the deception, the creatures allowed the humans to go, and Hammond shook hands with them in order to show that there was no malice toward them.
Although he has a very stuffy, stuck-up attitude, Hammond is actually a rather honorable guy and actually stands up for others. He is also one of the few people in the Bugle who actually support Spider-Man.

Powers: N/A
Abilities: Hammond is a very experienced reporter and writer. He also has a rather quick wit, which has been quite useful to writing funny captions for images.

-He's 6'2" tall.
