History: Kotep the Scarlet Sorcerer is an ancient Demon King.
Thousands of years before the dawn of civilization, evil magicians were fighting for supremacy - and Kotep was the most aggressive of these. When he lost a battle with an opponent, his own demons turned against him and placed him in a time suspension. Six thousand years later, he became an exhibition at the ESU museum, where Peter Parker was taking a course. The professor teaching it found a spell that could supposedly revive the sorcerer, and when it is tested, Kotep did indeed come back to life - and turned on the professor.
When Peter and his fellow students heard a loud crash, they ran in to discover Kotep and a demon slave, who came after them. Peter turned into Spider-Man and went after Kotep, who sent his demon after him. When Spidey injured the demon, Kotep vanished from the museum.
Now, Kotep has organized a team made of some of the most nefarious villains the world has ever seen. Together, they plan to rule the entire planet.
Equipment: Scepter
Powers: By using his scepter, Kotep can command demon slaves to do his bidding. He can also create illusions, pin enemies to walls and fire beams.
Abilities: Kotep is quite a knowledgeable sorcerer and magician, having spent many centuries studying the dark arts and using his powers for world domination.
Weaknesses: Kotep needs his scepter to remain in this plain. If the scepter is broker, he will become a statue and his spirit will be trapped in a time suspension.
Trivia:
-It seems that part of Gretchen Frank's power was actually inherited from Kotep, since he is a multiversal singularity.
-He is 6'4" tall.
