Jonas:
History: Utterly destroyed from an attack by the first timelines Scarlet Witch, who was being manipulated into attacking her friends, the Vision's remains were placed in storage until the Avengers could find a way to reactivate him. Some months later, a boy by the name of Nathaniel Richards traveled back in time - using a highly advanced suit of armor - to seek aid from the Avengers in escaping his future as Kang the Conqueror. After realizing that he had traveled back to a time when the Avengers had disbanded, Nathaniel, using his new armor, broke into the Avengers' storage facility looking for anything he could use against Kang. Upon the discovery of the original Vision’s remains, Nathaniel downloaded the Vision's operating system and data files into his armor.
Among the Vision's collected data banks Nathaniel discovered the "Avengers Fail-safe Program"; an emergency revival protocol created by the late Vision to locate and evaluate potential candidates for a new generation of Avengers, should the original team have disbanded. Deciding to activate the program himself, Nathaniel (now calling himself Iron Lad) recruited several super-youths, all whom appeared to have a connection with the Avengers. Together, they started the Young Avengers, taking up names and costumes to honor the original Avengers.
Despite his best efforts, however, Nathaniel's future eventually caught up with him. Kang, desperate to preserve the current time-line, tracked Nathaniel down. When he arrived he found that Nathaniel had made some powerful friends, all of whom were prepared to fight defend Nathaniel against Kang. However, the presence of both the young and the old Nathaniel Richards, caused the time-stream to fluctuate, distorting and warping reality. Hoping that removing Kang would repair the fractured time-line Nathaniel killed his future self. With the time-stream still in a state of disarray, Nathaniel realized that, for the sake of the universe, he had to accept his fate and become Kang. Before returning to his native time period however, he left behind his neuro-kinetic armor, still imprinted with the remnants of Nathaniel's brain patterns, emotions and memories. This, combined with the late Vision's data banks and operating system, allowed Nathaniel's armor to gain sentience. Able to fully utilize the powers and abilities of its predecessor, Nathaniel's armor became the new Vision. Extremely wary of allowing anything to do with Kang to have access to the Avengers, the reformed New Avengers tested and analyzed this new Vision for anything and everything that could be used against them. Growing tired of the endless analysis and suspicion, Vision eventually decided to join the Young Avengers instead. Having inherited Nathaniel's personality and memories, he developed an unrequited crush for his teammate Stature. The original Vision's powers and memories - coupled with Nathaniel's imprinted intuition - led him to the belief that twin teammates Speed and Wiccan may be the 'imaginary' children of the Scarlet Witch and his deceased predecessor.
Iron Lad came back shortly before a time storm hit, wiping out all but the original Hulkling, Wiccan and Speed. Int his second timeline Vision had a similar origin, however Kang was not killed and Iron Lad became aware of the time disruptions. He made a copy of Jonas, originally to try and install a new version of his personality into him to keep him from forming a relationship with stature but another time disruption hit. Jonas was pulled out by Iron Lad, who saw that the trio survived...and then he began to plan. He altered Jonas's program to make it seem that he would appear as a new creation in every new timeline. One that was planned. Each time, to Jonas it was as if life begana new, only he has memories and skills of past versions. it is not yet known if he is aware of what iron Lad has done to him.
Equipment: None
Powers: The Vision was originally designed by Nathaniel Richards to act as Neurokinetic Iron Lad armor, but was later downloaded with the original Vision's programming. As such, he possess many of the abilities the original Vision and several unique abilities granted by his technological superiority, including:
Superhuman Strength: Vision can lift normally 5 tons, at maximum density he can lift 75 tons.
Shape-Shifting: The Neurokinetic alloy making up Vision's body allows him to physically alter his appearance and shape with his thoughts.
Holographic Manipulation: In addition to being able to physically alter his appearance, Vision can also project realistic holograms around himself to "appear" as a different person. It can be an existing person like Tony Stark, or a person of his own design.
Time Travel: Vision is potentially capable of opening wormholes to travel into the timestream.
Flight: As demonstrated when used by Iron Lad, Vision is capable of self-propelled flight, unlike the origin Vision who flies by altering his density.
Energy Manipulation: Jonas can fire blasts of various kinds of energy from his hands and eyes, and disrupt electrical systems.
Superhuman Stamina, Reflexes and Durability: Due to his android body, the Vision is capable of many physically abilities beyond that of humans. At maximum Density he can talk no damage from a calm Hulk and he can move better than the finest acrobat.
Density Control: Like the origin Vision, Jonas is able to control his body's density and solidity. Utilizing this power he can become a weightless, transparent, and intangible.
Physical Disruption: The Vision can use his density control offensively be attaining minimum density (intangibility). Passing a part of all of his body within another living being and ever so slightly increasing his density (tangibility). Even increasing his density to one half ounce (14.25 grams) is sufficient to cause the organism he passes through excruciating pain, a shock to the nervous system, and unconsciousness. Were he to become any more dense than one half ounce the shock would probably kill the other organism if the organic damage was not extensive enough to kill the other organism in itself. Accordingly, the Vision employs this power with extreme caution.
Computer Brain: Jonas's brain is an artificially intelligent computer. He is able to store nearly endless amounts of data within his AI, such as world history, and foreign languages. He can think and analyze data rapidly. He can record more data and information he scans, playback his personal experiences in head, and store music which he can play, much like a boom box. He can also interface with other computers and has his own WiFi.
Abilities: He is an expert Analyst, able to quickly assess situations and formulate plans. He is also an Expert Gamer. He beat Dark Souls 3 with no deaths on a dare from Speed.
Weaknesses: He is often forced to comply with Iron Lad and struggles with memory gaps. If he does not time his returns to tangibility, he can wind up inside of a foreign object and be damaged or even potentially destroyed.
Trivia:
- He does seem to find Cassie lang attractive in this reality...
- Jonas is perplexed by the Vision family.
