Iron Lad:
Unmasked:
History: In the year 3016, Nathaniel Richards is rescued by his future self before a lethal attack by bullies, a key event in his path toward villainy. Nathan is given new armor and a glimpse of his life as Kang the Conqueror. As a result he turns against his future self and uses the armor to travel to modern day Earth to change his destiny.
After finding a destroyed Avengers Mansion (caused by an insane Scarlet Witch) and failing to travel further back in time, he finds the remains of Vision. Linking with the Visions systems he downloads all of his programs including a failsafe plan to assemble a new team of Avengers pending the destruction or disbanding of the original team. Young Kang assembles the Young Avengers and models his armor after Iron Man calling himself Iron Lad.
Eventually Kang returns to the present in search of Iron Lad with the intent on putting him back in his own time to prevent further disruption in the "time stream". He battles the Young Avengers and quickly gains the advantage until Iron Lad stabs him through the back with a sword. The death of future Kang caused further disruption of reality, Iron Lad realized that he must accept his future as Kang the Conqueror to reverse the reality disruptions. Before his return to 3016, his mind is wiped clean and his armor removed. The Young Avengers lost a member in young Kang, but gained a new one via his armor. His Iron Lad armor fuses with Vision's programing creating a new Vision who joins the team. Like young Kang, the new Vision has feelings for Cassandra Lang.
He came back when he was needed, not wanting his friends to die...to see a time storm coming, he quickly pulled himself back to a point outside of time to see Wiccan, Hulkling and Speed survive, and learned this was not the first time this has happened, but the second. Since then iron Lad has been posing as a new version every time, secretly helping his friends while examining the Kang that seemingly comes and goes, theorizing that this might potentially be...their Iron Lad from the original timeline. Every time he appears he just makes a new Jonas from a duplicate suit.
Equipment: Neurokinetic Armor: Iron Lad's battle armor is produced from a rare synthetic alloy from the 40th century. It is neuro-kinetic, meaning it responds to his subconscious thoughts. Though Kang has no powers, his armor endows him with rough equivalents of super-human abilities.
Enhanced Strength: Gives Iron Lad the ability to lift 5 tons.
Durability: The armor has a built in force-field that extends from 2 feet away from his body, outward to 20 feet in all directions. It can withstand even a nuclear strike at point blank range.
Video Communicator: Built into the right wrist is a video communicator, which he can use to stay in contact with his bases from any point in the time-stream.
Time Travel: Iron Lad's armor can create temporal divergences, giving him the ability to travel through and manipulate time.
Concussive Bolts: Iron Lad can fire concussive blasts from the finger tips of his gauntlets; these blasts have the force of several tons of dynamite.
Neurokinetic interface: As Iron Lad, he uses a neurokinetic armor apparently designed by his future self. This armor responds to its wearers thoughts and emotions almost instantaneously. It is capable of forming various weapons somewhat similar to that of Iron Man as well as being able to alter its appearance and shape. For example, it might manifest spikes if someone tried to grab it.
Artificial Intelligence: Iron Lad has also uploaded the AI of The Vision into the armor. It has currently reconfigured itself into a form similar to Vision and taken the name of Jonas.
Flight: The armor allows Iron Lad to hover above the ground or fly at tramendous speeds, with complete control of gravity around him.
Energy Blasts: Expel destructive energy blasts, magnetic rays, fire-extinguishing foam and is capable of suspending matter in mid-air
Project holographic images masking Iron Lad's true appearance
Download/upload massive amounts of data with its complex hard drive
Override security systems via hacking programs.
Powers: Same as Kang.
Skills: Same as Kang, his multiple time loops have brought him up to speed to match him.
Weaknesses: Suffers from insecurity issues over the fear that he may yet become his future selves.
Trivia (optional):
- He is continuing uploading and downloading Jonas' memories into new bodies.
- He has removed Jonas' feelings for Cassie
- He is doing his best to not slip into Kang's ways...
- No one but Jonas knows he is the Iron Lad from the second timeline, nor that he suspects Kang is the trio's Iron Lad.
