Name: Unknown
Alter Ego: Chance, The Renegade, Double or Nothing
Race: Mutant
Faction: Ally of X-Men, Formerly Fallen Angels
Theme Song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfHKJwQEJrM Slums - Final Fight Streetwise OST
Voiced by: Faye Mata
Image/Appearance:
History: Chance and her parents were members of the Glorification Church, a South Korean political organization masquerading as a church. Its leader, Reverend Yune Kim Park, brought Chance's family to the United States and promised them citizenship. Instead, he enslaved them along with the rest of his followers, forcing them into menial jobs and to give their earnings to the "Church."
Chance somehow escaped, and living on the streets, fought or hassled the Glorification Church and its brainwashed adherents at any opportunity. She has since felt a burning hatred towards Yune Kim Park.
To survive on the streets, Chance adopted the appearance and manners of a tough boy - even today, she denies being a female and is very perturbed if made to look like one. She survived stress and depression because her life was improving. She was completely unaware of her own power - which is useless to herself; she needs to be with other super-humans to use it.
At some point, she was contacted by the alien Ariel, who formed the group known as the Fallen Angels out of disenfranchised young mutants alongside Vanisher. Joined by Warlock and Sunspot from the New Mutants, Siryn and Multiple Man (Who at the time were working on Muir Island with Moira MacTaggart) and Boom Boom, then an associate of the original X-Factor, they had many adventures with included meeting Devil Dinosaur and fending off Ariel's mutant hunting race...after she and Ariel almost sold out the team until they realized they cared for them..and were mutants themselves.
The Fallen Angels escaped, however, and presumably continue to eke out a living on the streets. Chance eventually went her own way when it fell apart, practicing her powers more and expanding her fighting ability. She has become a force to be feared on the streets, keeping them in order, especially putting other mutants in their place with her powers. From time to time she helps out the X-Men, still close to her old allies.
Equipment: Her pocket knife. Simple but effective.
Powers: Powers Alteration: Chance possess the mutant power to affect other beings' powers. Currently, she has been seen affecting only other mutants powers, with the exception of Warlock's mutation, which doesn't depend on the X-Gene.
Powers Enhancing: Her mutant power may possesses the mutant power to magnify other naturally-occurring superhuman powers to extreme, often uncontrollable levels, making Madrox create extra-duplicates.
Powers Nullifying: She also may nullify such powers and mutations, such as Solar's strength and black form, or even Warlock's compassion mutation.
Skills: Skilled thief, pickpocket, Boxing and knife fighter. Has picked up moves from Capoeira, Kickbocking, Akido and Tae Kwon Do from people she knew. She is fluent in Korean and English.
Weaknesses: Her powers only affect mutants. If she uses proximity fields she will boost or negate any mutant in it, friend or foe. This makes it crucial to use this power with allies who can defend themselves without powers or are not at risk of dying without them, or not boosting the Brotherhood alongside the X-Men as as example. If focusing on one target, she cannot break that focus. If locking onto a foe, she needed to face them and only them. If boosting an ally, she needs to be guarded, the power stops if that focus is lost. It is unknown if she can fully weaken omega Class Mutants or those as strong as Apocalypse. At best, she might only weaken them.
Trivia (optional):
- She did have a thing for Sunspot, but he is likely too dense to get it.
- She still insists on not being treated like a girl.
- Chance is kind of like Eraserhead from MHA in potential, that is why i claimed her.
- She wants to lay out the gambling merc putz who uses her alias.
