Peter Parker and Gretchen Frank headed for their apartment. Peter was opening the door with his keys, but once he opened it, his Spider-Sense immediately tingled.

He then turned and Hammerhead almost grabbed him. Peter evaded him.
"PETER!!!" yelled Gretchen as she was also taken by surprise.
Both Hammerhead and Peter fight brutally all around the room, making a big mess. Hammerhead punches Peter in the face. Peter then swings his arm at Hammerhead's gut and hits him.
"AGH!!! YA LIL' CHUMP!!!" yelled Hammerhead as he was punched.
He then grabbed Peter and tossed him to the wall. Peter stands up, grabs a glass vase and throws it at Hammerhead. Hammerhead is hit in the face by the vase.
"AAAAGH!!!" yelled Hammerhead as the vase broke in his face. "I'M GONNA GIT CHA FOR DAT!!!"
Hammerhead then drew his handgun and was about to fire at Peter. Gretchen knew she had no choice, so she teleported both herself and Peter out of the apartment just as the imposing mobster fired. Hammerhead looked at this.
"What da-?" uttered Hammerhead.
He then looked around and started thinking.
"A chick wit' da ability to teleport, eh? Wait till Fisk hears 'bout dis..." said Hammerhead, knowing that this knowledge might distract Fisk from the Rose's actions.
He then grabs the phone and makes a call to the Fisk Tower.

Peter (now with a black eye and a bloody lip due to Hammerhead's beating) and Gretchen were now in the middle of Hell's Kitchen. The place looked burned down and dirt poor. It wasn't a friendly place to be. However, Peter now knew that Hammerhead was looking for him, so he has no choice but to hide here. And he thinks of one place in particular.
"C'mon... follow me." said Peter to Gretchen.
Gretchen follows Peter. Peter then looks at her.
"So... what happened back there? How did we end up here?" asked Peter.
"I... I wish I could tell you... but I can't... you might not want to hang out with me after I tell you..." said Gretchen.
"Don't worry... I have my share of things that may bug you." said Peter.
"Well... I'm a mutant... I was born with strange powers... you just saw one of them..." said Gretchen.
"Wow... so you're trying to lay low? Well, don't worry... now you're laying as low as you can be." said Peter. "I'm just... sorry that I got you involved."
"I'm sorry, too... people want to take me away to use my powers for their own benefit... I'm just... too afraid to use them." said Gretchen.
"Don't worry, I totally get you..." said Peter.
A few hours later, Peter and Gretchen arrive at the West Port Warehouse in Hell's Kitchen. It's an abandoned warehouse near a port. On the roof of the warehouse, a figure watches them from the shadows. We see that the figure is female, but we can't see who it is.
Peter and Gretchen enter the warehouse.

"This will be our hideout. My first girl and me used to come here to... fool around." said Peter. "We can't afford to show our faces with Hammerhead looking for us. That means we're targets for every Maggia hood out there."
"Peter... I... I never thought your life could be so dangerous..." said Gretchen, feeling sympathy for him.
"I guess that's the reason why I can't let any girl into my life... my first girl was killed by a maniac, my second one left me due to my overprotectiveness... I just don't know if I can live with another heartbreak..." said Peter as he looked down.
Gretchen looked at him sadly. This boy was alone in this world. He couldn't let anyone in his life without putting them in danger.
"She was right to leave me... I'm becoming paranoid." said Peter. "She says she still loves me, but I don't think I'll ever be able to be with her again."
"I... I'm sorry..." said Gretchen sadly.
She then grabs his hand. Peter looks at her meekly. This was the sort of feeling he hadn't experienced ever since he broke up with MJ.
