"I am your future Starblade...and your past." The armored form of Solarblade came to a stop. "An ally who has come to prevent your demise. I call myself Solarblade...but you know me by another name."
Starblade looked at him funny. "And what name is that."
Solarblade then took an all to familiar stance. "You are the one I have sworn to serve. One I am sworn never to fail. For I am..."
"295?" Starblade stance. "That is the stance Sentries take when they declare their loyalty to the Empire. But...they destroyed you." He stared. "How do I know it is really you?"
"The Voran Mission. We were trapped behind enemy lines. Dorrek sent a large assault group, lead by a then loyal Super Skrull, to destroy us. You had me overload our ship to take out half their fleet, then we kicked him off his flagship and commandeered it to make it back home. We have to give our security codes five times before Korath believed it was us. You made fun of that dome helmet of his for a good ten minutes after he hung up." Solarblade looked at Kl'rt. "You can confirm that much, can you Super Skrull?"
Starblade was dumbstruck. "All that is...true?"
"Is it...Kl'rt?" S'Byll asked.

Chan-Dar stared. "You got to be kidding me."
"Whoa...that's some heavy shit." Hollywood exclaimed. "The Supreme Intelligence is still a fucking asshole I see."
"Son...easy." Vance could hear his thoughts.
"I was...everything was...is that why they kept me away. In case I..." He looked at 295. "Did...you know?"
"I was unable to tell you as 295." Solarblade said. "But as Solarblade, I am free of my Sentry nature. No orders define me."

Vel stepped away from Denise quickly. Luckily he was far away from her as bits of fire could be seen arcing across his body. <"I WILL KILL THE SUPREME INTELLIGENCE FOR THIS!! DAMN HIM!!!>" He punched the ground, crying. <"DAMN HIM!!!">
"You can't fight him by yourself. He'd send her after you in a heartbeat." Chon-Dar told him.
"What am I to do then? This is my fault. Because I left...he used the shame I brought to the family...to make Shara...that has to be it." Vel-Ronn looked conflicted.

Just as they said that, Starblade spotted an all to familiar corona of light shoot into the sky.
"Well, if that is not ironic...Danvers slipped." Solarblade exclaimed.
Vel-Ronn looked down...before a swirl of fire surrounded him and he took flight.
"NO!!! YOU'RE NOT READY!!!" Solarblade exclaimed.

Just as they said that, Starblade spotted an all to familiar corona of light shoot into the sky. "Well, if that is not ironic...Danvers slipped." Solarblade exclaimed. Vel-Ronn looked down...before a swirl of fire surrounded him and he took flight. "NO!!! YOU'RE NOT READY!!!" Solarblade exclaimed. "Shit... should we follow?" uttered Colin. "I will..." said Skyboy as he pressed a button on his suit and started flying in pursuit of Starblade. After he was gone, Colin shook his head. "Goddamn... that suit is clunky and rudimentary as hell, but it sure serves its purpose." said Colin. |
