Having been contacted by Gideon, Doom waited in his base to greet him and Candra. Standing alongside him were Jake Gallows, Indigo Eshun, Valeria and Sharp Blue, who Jake had recently pulled into the modern time with a win over an alternate version of Kron Stone who was a humanoid scorpion. "I pray this is not some waste of my time." Doom spoke.
"Want me to kill them if it is?" Jake asked, cocking his gun.
"Do you know nothing Gallows? Externals are said to be immortal, nigh unkillable by normal means. They come back to life when murdered." Sharp said to him.
"Wait, really?" Indigo blinked. "Shocking Hell."
"Such is true. It is extremely difficult to permanently eliminate an External." Doom stood there as Gideon and Candra warped in. "Greetings, and welcome to Doomsbase." He gestured to their surroundings, a cloaked vessel the size of a city hovering above water.
Gideon and Candra did not bow. "Forgive the lack of your usual courtesies Doom. We do not bend knees to mortals much. That has to be earned." Gideon spoke up. "At any rate, you got my pitch?"
"Yes, instead of using Grandmaster to revive this girl, you are using him to buy my loyalty so Doom can convert some clone into the woman your associate here wished to revive. Is that not correct?" Doom asked him directly, not mincing words by pointing out an obvious hole.
"Which shows I am prioritizing an alliance over the life of some girl. Plus this will serve as a bridge i hope we can use to build stronger ties. You can bring in three of your men..." Gideon then noticed a smile from Sharp Blue. "What?"
"We only need two, Nkrumah and...Sommers." She said the last name hatefully. "So..does this mean we get a freebie?"
"Well it seems so. Who do you have in mind when we win?" Gideon asked Doom.
"IF you win." Doom said.
"Absalom is merciless, Crule moreso and I can personally vouch for Bella Donna." Candra spoke up to Doom. "And yes...Bella earns you a gift."
Doom smiled under his mask. "Anyone I wish?" He then laughed. "So be it then. Doom asks for Nkrumah, Morphine Sommers and...well..Junkpile was a useful officer, was he not Gallows?" He turned to him.
"He knew what needed to be done. Sure, I approve as his boss." Jake snickered. "Gonna have a good old time now."

"You called for my current father, future father?" asked Kristoff. "He is indisposed at the moment, but as always, I take his place whenever he is busy." He then looked at the others. "Who are these people?" asked Kristoff. |

"The two in front of me are Gideon and Candra of the Externals, a rare breed of Immortal mutants. Tread lightly, Gideon is as strong as his company and Candra is among the deadlier women alive. With me, the new arrivals are Sharp Blue, my Minister of Order and notable head of the Mercenary Guild."
"Oh? New Guilds crop up?" Candra raised her brow.
"Please don't test me. I know well enough to inflict something worse than death." Sharp stared.
Gideon laughed. "Such spirit."
"And Indigo Eshun, my Minister of Signal." Doom finished. "I only need Morphine Somers, my Minister of Humanity and Nkrumah, my Minister of Enemy Relations. Coupled with Valeria as my Minister of Peace and either Gideon, Andros Stark, and Norman Osborn. The first two are capable and powerful, one reaching into the past, one into the future...and Osborn...easily manipulated and grounded in the Present. All three represent viewpoints to consider...and all are a step up from that maggot Tyler Stone as Minister of Finance."
"Isn't it Minister of Corporation?" Indigo asked.
"This modern day has an America ruled by Democracy, not corporate machination. However the potential is there for it to fall that way. Ours is a preemptive act to prevent not only the war with Mutantkind, but to ensure the rest of our eras sins are erased. To make the world as prosperous as Latveria. I even seek to improve my younger self. Show him the fruit of my hindsight." Doom turned to Indigo. "Does that satisfy your curiousity?"
"Well...yeah...but...do we really need Somers? No one here really like him." Indigo said.
"I really don't mind him." Gallows said.
"I do. I like his cruelty." Sharp grinned.
"Ok, me and Nicky." Indigo turned to the Externals. "Not a racism thing, all races produce assholes. He just happens to be a big one."
"No offense taken." Gideon said. "We have Crule and Selene in our ranks. Well not really with Selene..."

"Even if one or both of us are not your choice, it does not mean we cannot still be aligned. If you can win over and reform poor, diseased Norman...it would help your public image to do so." Gideon pointed out to him. "And besides, Norman and I travel in the same circles. He is not stranger to me. It might help to see people of his social status as well as you all."
Doom paused. "Wise counsel. Do it then."

Kristoff smiled and then used a portal device to go to Ravencroft. --- At Ravencroft, Norman Osborn had just been brought back to his room. He sat there and opened his book when Kristoff appeared. "Mr. Osborn?" asked Kristoff. "AH!!! Who are you?" asked Osborn. "Relax, my friend... I just came to make you a proposition... how would you like to redeem yourself for all the sins you have made as the Green Goblin?" asked Kristoff. "Oh, you don't know the half of it... thanks to the Goblin, I have to be here constantly." said Osborn. "Well, then... you can now help the people of the world if you come with me. My ruler is eager to meet you and make a proposition." said Kristoff. "Very well... all I want is to redeem myself from all the atrocities the Goblin has done." said Osborn. "Then follow me." said Kristoff as he went back through the portal. Osborn followed him. --- Once they came back, Osborn looked around. He saw Gideon and bowed his head at him. He then looked at Doom 2099. "I... I heard you had a proposition for me, uh, Mister...?" said Osborn, wanting to know what his name was. |

"He rose across the sea with Columbus. Though he died of scurvy, he awoke anew with power and went on his own to become self made." Doom noted.
"He died? But he is immortal?" Indigo asked.
"We become immortal upon dying. It awakens then, so long as we reach puberty and the X-Gene blossoms in full. Which is why we track down our own and kill them at an ideal, youthful age. So they may be young and strong. Advise from our physically older ones. An External can only kill another after awakening...and only with one left can we remain dead. If one lives, even one...all rise again." Gideon explained. "I say this because...we all know...and none of you can abuse that, so...not much of a weakness." He said to her. "Does that explain it all Miss Eshun?"
"Yeah...basically." Indigo replied.

You will find restoring the Cat difficult. The answer lies not with the future or past alone. Externals, Doom of 2099...seek thee out the violet liar. On the shores of a land once plagued by hatred, a single man's word can be your answer." He stared at them. "Please don't tell me to spell that one out."
"Violet liar?" Gideon asked.
"An old...problem. Though this might need us to discuss things with Genosha much sooner than planned, if I am to believe you." Doom stood there. "We wait for Somers. Then...we go recruit...the Purple Man." He glanced at Ozymandias. "This woman cannot be any worth to you."
"She is not, the boon this grants me however is important. I am selling you your alliance with the Externals...and others if you are wise." He glanced at Osborn. "You value such counsel. When I need your help...your honor demands repayment of debt."
"Damn you...arrogant fool." Doom glared.
