I am mad at Sony. I get both sides were playing chess with each other on Spidey...but realizing Sony had control on how Spidey was written and wrote his solo flicks...I feel like they intended to let him get ingrained as some kind of leverage. To be in control so they can either make or break the deal and try to make Disney look bad. To hurt us so they could use us.
I will likely support anything with Tom Holland. He is just that good a Spidey, and I will cover Sony Animation, they are not Sony Pictures. That's like refusing to watch FMA because of Vic Mignogna and thereby punishing the rest of the voice cast for one bad egg. But anything else....not sure if I will buy Venom now. It won't affect Furor on the other site...but...dude...at this point i might because i feel bad that Sony went and did that only to have Spidey get pulled back into Sony. Like what was the point of separating him from Spidey only to do this? should have done Morbius first. He at least isn't AS closely tied.
But as I said elsewhere, I hope this is like the James Gunn issue. Or that the impending success of She-Hulk, which we all need to watch to support a union with universal and maybe help things there...is a wake up call.
Having said that...
The fact alone that She-Hulk has a show is worthy enough of a promo, but to see Moon Knight, to see Miss Marvel, to get Kit Harrington cast as Black Knight...D23 was as much as reward to fans as this one painful gesture was a betrayal...and by God we need to celebrate that. All that and...to Tom Holland...we need to celebrate him. He did well by Spidey. He needs to love.
