History: Howard was a resident of a parallel universe to that of this one. He was a resident of Duckworld, in which he lived an ordinary, yet quiet life. Things however soon changed dramatically for Howard when a demon named Thog the Overmaster sought to unite all realities into one reality which he would then control. In this event Howard was taken from his world and was transported to earth, in the Florida everglades, which is the site of Earth's nexus of all realities. Dakimh the Enchanter, a sorcerer who was a nemesis of Thog, recruited Howard and the others who were taken from their home realities to fight Thog, a battle which they ultimately won. On his way back to his own world he fell off of the Stepping Stones of Oblivion and fell to Cleveland, Ohio. This event left Howard stranded on this earth, far away from his own reality.
In Cleveland, Howard first met the young model Beverly Switzler who was a captive of the costumed criminal accountant Pro-Rata. Howard and Beverly escaped and began living together. Although Howard attempted to live as normal a life as possible, considering that he is a talking duck on a world of human beings, he continually ran afoul of various unusual menaces and situations.
More recently, Howard has taken it upon himself to start his own career as a detective. seeking to embrace the chaos that comes his way while doing something about it. usually with a webbed foot to the face. Beverly works with him as his secretary, often going with him to help his cases, big or small, crazy or otherwise...which for them is a day to day thing.
Equipment: ISO-Loader: The ISO-Loader was a special mech suit built by the Collector to help him organize his crystal collection. Howard later retrofitted it into a battle armor so he could fight against threats. It is equipped with an arm mounted BFG gun, which fires bullets at his foes which can cause paralysis, poisoning, ignite in flames or freeze over.
Powers: Duckworldian Physiology: Howard possesses no known superhuman or superduck powers. Howard's body, like those of his entire race, has similar characteristics to those of both common Earth ducks and common Earth human beings.He has hands and arms instead of wings, is covered with feathers and is unable to fly.
Skill:
Martial Arts: Howard is a master in the little known martial art called Quak Fu, which he learned at the hands of Master C'haaj, and hence is a surprisingly formidable opponent in hand-to-hand combat.
Mystical Training: The Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange has also briefly tutored Howard in the mystic ways, indicating even those of Duckworld possess magical potential. Under his mental guidance, Howard was capable of conjuring the Vapors of Valtorr, the Shield of the Seraphim, use transformation enchantments and even utilize another Eye of Agamotto and Cloak of Levitation along with his own garb for Howard the Duck, which the duck was able to command, despite his lack of Sorcerer Supreme title, though ultimately declining to study as Strange's apprentice. (Howard no long has any of the garb as Strange was loaning it to him to fight his foe, Dr.Bong, but the potential for using the spells remain.)
Genius Intellect: It was recently discovered that he had the potential to be the most intelligent being in his homeworld. However his slacker nature has left a lot of it untapped.
Weaknesses: Howard is just a duck. Same weaknesses as just a human, only he is smaller.
