At SHIELD HQ's briefing room, Nick Fury, General Fitzmaurice, Colonel Archer, the Cat and Agent X were having a meeting regarding threats around New York City.
"Well, people, we've been dealing with lots of trouble lately... the Maggia has become much more powerful since they bombed Verona Warehouse, the Friends of Humanity have once again started to beat up mutants around the Big Apple and... worst of all, scientists and business people have been abducted from their homes. The latest one being Amanda Rosenthal. We still don't know who did it." said Fury.
"I think we should investigate the least known criminals for these abductions... it surely isn't one of the heavyweights... it would bring too much attention to them." said Fitzmaurice.
"We have SHIELD agents dressed as civilians around New York, but so far, there has been no luck." said Agent X.
"What if they aren't hiding on the ground... what if these guys responsible of the abductions have their headquarters in the sky... like us?" said Archer.
"If what you say is true, Archer, then we got a big problem on our hands..." said Fitzmaurice.
"It'll mean that this new threat to mankind can take on us easily." said Fury.

"So, we step up our game. Stop looking at common allies and get a bit more advanced." In walked Quake, carrying a folder in one hand. "I think I can rule out Patricia Walker's abduction as being tied. Doesn't fit the same MO. Does not seem to be up Graydon Creed or Kingpin's alley to snag former child stars turned super heroes. By the way Nick, Jessica says move your ass on that one, otherwise she starts throwing things at people." She put the file down in front of him. "I think Patsy was snagged by the Grandmaster. Only thing that fits. Him and Mojo are making teams for these games of his."

"I'm on it, Colonel." said Agent X as she walked out of the room to prepare for her mission to save Patsy. Fury turns to the Cat. "As for you, I want you to investigate who abducted the Rosenthal girl and all those eggheads." said Fury. "Sounds thrilling." said the Cat. "We'll have to deal with the Friends of Humanity later... at least until I know what the government thinks about this situation." said Fitzmaurice. "While you wait for a reply, Archer and me are goin' to deal with some Maggia goons." said Fury. |

"Well, I was planning to sneak into Battleworld, or Battlerealm, or whatever the hell it's called, and take Miss Walker while they weren't looking." said Agent X. "Before you ask, I fly, he and I are super strong and I am super pissed off." Jessica Jones sad as she walked up to Fury. "Found what would be considered a PR Guy. She's a frequent stay in the Mojoverse, the place that trips up the X-Men."
"Jess." Quake sighed before looking at Luke Cage. "Luke."
"Hey, don't judge a man. I got bulletproof skin, not concussion proof muscles underneath." Luke raised his hands. "Jess hits hard. I'd rather piss Danny off."
"We challenge the yellow turd to a game, we form a team and we whittle away time on her contract, cuz when they TAKE people, they take people with something to lose. Hold their fates hostage unless you sign a deal. She bought my safety with her life...which also means they threatened Danielle." Jess leans in. "My baby Nick."
"Yeah, this don't fly with me. So...we need to deal with this. Also...they got Darkhawk the same way too. Gonna need a big team of willing people. But that comes after we make a pitch. We are just wondering...can you get us a line to Mojoworld?" Luke told him.
