(Continued from "Painful Secrets")
Suddenly, Peter Parker and Captain Barbera burst into the office.
"Parker, what are you-?" said Fury.
"YOU GODDAMN LYING FUCK!!!" yelled Peter as he punched Fury in the face.
Fury falls when he's punched. Fitzmaurice gets up from his chair.
"Boy, hitting a high ranking officer is a major offense and it'll cost you a lifetime in prison." said Fitzmaurice with authority.
"I'll let you take me away, but first I want to know... what have you been hiding from me? I leveled with you by telling you about my secrets and all that stuff, and you just keep secrets from me!!! Two new Goblins attacked me today and they changed into people who looked like me!!!" said Peter.
Fury got up, his lip was bleeding.
"We didn't want to grieve you with the details... yes, those goblins are your kids... an agent... your sister... was tailing-" said Fury.
"Sister? You were hiding the fact that I have another relative out there?" said Peter. "HOW COULD YOU KEEP THIS FROM ME?!!!"
"I had to... you are a useful ally when you are in top shape and not grieving or mourning." said Fury.
"Well, you know what? You can count me out from now on... first, it was my parents being branded traitors, then, my kids, and now, I have a sister I never heard of before..." said Peter before turning to Fitzmaurice. "You can take me away, General..."
Fitzmaurice cuffs Peter's hands and takes him away to the prison. Barbera then looks at Fury with distrust.
"And all dis time I've been helpin' you and trustin' you... well, y'know what? You won't git my help anymore." said Barbera before walking out.
"Barbera... if you walk out, you might not be a Captain for long." said Fury.
Barbera looked back at him and grinned.
"I nevah wanted to be a Captain... I only did it ta honor Captain George Stacy's memory... I don't care if ya take me out of da force, 'cause I cost 'em a good man, it's da price I pay for lettin' Captain Stacy die." said Barbera.
"Then that's it... you're out." said Fury.
Barbera just looked at Fury defiantly, pressed the pin and teleported back.

"So drag his ass back in here...and uncuff him...before i do ten times worse to you, and to hell with your Super Spy Bullshit. Pete's an old friend, and your ass had it coming." She turned to him. "You got two minutes before i start putting people through consoles."
"I'm with her." Luke stared Nick down. "That is some grade A bullshit Nicholas. If anyone deserves to be put away right now...it's you. Minute 45..."
Curtis Khan cleared his throat. "Staying out of it due to personal bias. Sorry Nick."
"Minute 38." Jessica sighed.

"Tell Fitzmaurice to bring him back." said Fury. Archer nodded and walked out. A while later, Peter walked into the room. His face seemed cold and distant, as if he had lost his faith in the world. He needed someone to talk to. He needed Gwen and Joyce. "If I'm gonna go with you, Jess... I want you to send me back down... I need to talk to someone." said Peter, sounding completely distant and broken. "Man..." uttered Hawkeye as he saw Peter's demeanor. Circuit Breaker was holding back tears. She couldn't bear to see someone this way. It reminded her of how she was after the accident. |
